Import Face Off at The Auto Club Dragway in Fontana, CA

Despite the forecasts of a cold and rainy January day, hundreds of diehard drag racing fans and import car enthusiasts   descended on the Auto Club Dragway at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA to watch the Import Face Off, a drag race, burn out contest, and car show that was originally scheduled for last November but was postponed ‘til this January.  Unfortunately, the fans weren’t the only ones attending, and, as predicted, the weather came too.  Due to the scattered showers throughout the day and other related incidents, this race turned out to be one that was destined to not be completed.

In the Front Wheel Drive class, Anthony Di Nallo in his ’94 Civic qualified first with an E.T. of 9.254 at 164.19 MPH.  Anthony would end up taking the low E.T. and Top Speed of this class with those numbers.

In Outlaw, Charles Farrell followed in Anthony Di Nallo’s shoes, not only qualifying in the number one spot, but by taking the low E.T. in his class with a 10.241 and the top speed  with a  134.55 MPH, all in a ’94 Acura.
