Breezing Through the Ultimate Sportsman Weekend

The NHRA Southeast division Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series tackled the quarter mile at South Georgia Motorsports Park for the Ultimate Sportsman Weekend event with hundreds of racers going head to head in elimination rounds.

The winners were crowned Monday, March 5, after final eliminations were postponed a day due to weather and were run at an eighth mile distance due to strong winds.

Columbus, Ohio, racer Bob Marshall won in Super Stock with his BB/SA ’65 Coronet when Norm Hall, Waldorf, Md., fouled out in his 2005 Cavalier GT/CA. Marshall went on to run 6.125 at 106.82 mph.
