ARP Nostalgia Pro Street

Dave Beeson topped the field in qualifying in NPS after running a 7.28 at 183 mph. He made it to the finals by taking the competition bye run in the first round and getting past his rival, Jeff Colletta with a 7.31 to 7.33 in the semis. In the final round, Beeson had to face the BES-Powered Camaro of Skip Baskin, who was running strong all weekend. Beeson, however, lit the dreaded red bulb, ending his chances of glory when he invoked it by -.225 - giving Baskin the overall event win.

Aeromotive Xtreme Street

In the NMCA's true ten five tire classes, Xtreme Street, it was a dog fight all weekend, but it was Dave Hutnick and Danny Shemwell who ended up in the final round. Shemwell got number one on the “Q” with a 7.97 at 194 mph, while Hutnick covered the second slot with an 8.09 at 173 mph. Both racers had to face some potentially quick cars, but when they met in the finals, Hutnick blew his tires off and gave chase to his rival, but it was too late, as Shemwell made a victory pass of  8.08 at 172 mph.

COMP Cams Pro Stock

The true ten five tire, heads-up, naturally aspirated class, COMP Cams Pro Stock, Robbie Blankenship topped the qualifying field when he revved his sleek Mustang to the tune of 8.48 at 157 mph. Don Bowles was his biggest threat however, and beat him in the first round. Bowles was able to get to the finals to take on Don Baskin, who qualified with a 3rd and took out Mike DeMayo in the semis. When the tree dropped, it was a great race, but the Nova of Baskin was too speedy and and ran a killer 8.46 to take out Bowles 8.61.

FSC Magazine Mean Street

There was a lot of buzz behind this class all winter, so although there were only four cars in this  class at this event, keep an eye out because we bet this will be one to watch this season. Former class champion Jeremy Gillam pulled off the overall win by taking down David Hill's Mustang, which was driven by the former NMRA Pure Street champion, Brad Meadows. A 10.04 from Gillam (after he battled gremlins in his ride all weekend) was enough to get him the first win in M/S this season.
