This heads-up, quarter mile class was brand new last year and at the first race of 2012, seven racers showed up to race for the Bradenton title. The defending champion, Jason Lee topped the field in qualifying with a 7.45 at 189 mph and was able to get through the field to take on the small-block nitrous war wagon of Eric Kenward.

In Lakewood EFI Rumble, Bobby Barrick, who has won three out of last four races, in three different cars, beat Billy Copeland in the final. In Nostalgia Muscle Car, saw Gerry Vizzo win after Kenny Van Zil ran a bit off his index and lost. Nostalgia Super Stock saw Doug Poskevich beat out Dallas Schultz in an exciting final round. Open Comp ended with Frankie Radake after he took out Bruce Boyle when he redit by -.003.

TREMEC True Street

After the thirty mile cruise, Randy Seward got the overall win with a 9.51 average, followed by Deneen Segura, who ran a 9.91 average for runner up. The ten second winner was Jason Rollin's who owned the 10-second trophy with a 10.01. James Barlow (11-second), Jerrod Hess (12-second), Julio Don (13-second),  Atom Keech (14-second), and Chris Parisi (15-second) all won in T/S as well.
