Robert Hight didn’t get his fifth race win in a row, but Mike Neff continued John Force Racing's dominance in Funny Car as he raced to his first victory of the 2012 season Sunday, April 29, at the 25th annual O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Spring Nationals presented by Super Start Batteries at Royal Purple Raceway. With the win, Neff gave John Force Racing its sixth consecutive win to open the season.

Morgan Lucas, Vincent Nobile and Andrew Hines also earned victories at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series event near Houston.

Morgan Lucas dominated this weekend's 25th annual O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Spring Nationals from the start of qualifying Friday to the winner's circle celebration Sunday night.

After claiming top qualifier honors for the fourth time this year with a pass of 3.772 seconds at a track-record top speed of 327.74 mph, Lucas simply trounced the elimination field Sunday, running low elapsed time of every round en route to his sixth career Top Fuel victory.

"I've never felt like this at any point in my Top Fuel career," said Lucas, who turned pro in the latter part of 2004 after a successful run in Top Alcohol Dragster. "To pull up to the starting line on race day knowing you have the car to win the race is just hard to describe. I feel really blessed."
