Belinda Bull made her first appearance of the season which proved to be a good choice as it’s taken Super Modified four events to hand out a trophy, once husband Jeff had twiddled the knobs to a 7.526 low qualifying effort, Belinda set low ET of each round of eliminations, culminating in a 7.458/183 to 7.865/178 event win over Andy Hone.

Topspeed Automotive Street Eliminator boiled down to a battle of mid sixties Americana in the rather large shapes of Mark Todd’s GTO and Jon Webster’s Comet, both being products of Webster’s WRE shop just up the road from Santa Pod. No evidence of either being trailer queens, Todd’s Pontiac qualified low with a 7.821 and ran as quick as a 7.790 before defeating Webster with a 7.784 to a weekend’s best but red lighting 8.282 from the Mercury.
