UEM Pro Stock Bike

Bearing in mind the tricky track conditions that prevailed over the weekend, the European record setting performances of Fredrik Fredlund in PSB were all the more noteworthy, and the appreciation must be heightened considering that Fredlund and the PAF Suzuki team were having to tune with educated guesswork as their data logger had packed up during the previous event. Fredlund qualified low with a 7.079, defeated Timo Savolainen in the opening round of eliminations with a 7.086 and then improved to a 7.074/187 to take the ET record to go with the TS record he set last year.

PSB points leader Ulf Ögge was someway behind Fredlund with a 7.173 on the first qualifying session putting the team on the back foot when a rod ventilated the Bikeline Buell’s block just before the finishline. A conservative 7.241 was enough to account for Martin Bishop in the opening round of eliminations and a 7.228 to a 7.251 took the semi-final win over Kalle Lyrén by a couple of feet.
