Thanks to help from Swedish racer Adam Flamholc, who has a shop in Florida, the team was able to graft on a ’69 Camaro front-end, install a new motor and return to Gainesville in time for the first round of Eliminations Saturday night. Incredibly Janis ran a 6.799 at only 150.15 mph to get the win over a tire-chattering Castellana.
