The Mustang Maddness all-Mustang class had eleven entries. Interestingly in this class instead of qualify by ET they qualify based on their best RT in qualifying.  The cars dialed anywhere from 9 to 14 seconds.

The final round matched up NHRA class racer Brent Calvert in his A/SA Mustang against number-two qualifier Justen Spencer in a 2000 model Mustang. The final round was all Calvert as he left first and ran just 0.03 over his 10.11 dial. Spencer was late on the tree and ran .064 under the dial and broke out trying to catch Calvert.

Tim Krupa of Lincolnton, N.C., won in Pro Street. Krupa’s 1953 Corvette defeated the 1969 Camaro of Rod Burbage (Anderson, Calif.) in the final, 6.220/237.75 mph to 6.928 at 185.97 mph.

John Phlegar of Las Vegas defeated former Vegas track manager Cliff Ricci of Las Vegas in the Brodix Bracket 1 final, 7.820/161.32 to 9.143 143.78.

The Outlaw 8.5 narrow tire class ran to the eighth mile instead of a quarter mile and there were eight cars qualified in this class, led by Scott Bieschke from Henderson, Nev., driving his 1988 Mustang to a 5.428/138.16. He was followed closely by defending series champ Mark Washington also in a Mustang, who ran a 5.495 at just 128.26 mph.

Bieschke and Washington waded through a strong field to meet in the finals. Bieschke put a 0.024 holeshot on Washington and drove away for the win with a 5.468/137.29 to Washington’s slower 5.659/127.44.
