In other classes, most of which had just four cars, Artis Houston from Compton, Calif., captured the Wild Street class with a 5.191/145.36 blast that easily beat George Raygoza.

Hot Street was a quarter-mile class and the winner was Tony Aneian from North Hollywood, Calif., who pushed his ’68 Camaro to a winning 8.329/164.23 lap that easily covered Bryan Corbett’s 8.485/161.71 despite Corbett’s massive holeshot.

And finally in the Extreme Drag Radial class, also running an eighth-mile distance, Jeff Young used a holeshot to beat Chris Alston Jr. Young combined a 0.101 RT with a 5.248/144.53 lap to defeat Alston’s quicker but losing 5.227/153.89 due to Alston’s 0.138 RT.
