Bader’s final round opponent was Vegter’s Dutch compatriot Robert Joosten who finished the season on a high after producing his first five in Sweden a couple of weeks previously and following this up with a runner-up finish at Santa Pod. Joosten’s deepest trip into eliminations since his event win at Mantorp back in 2008 came after producing his best number of the weekend (6.084) to defeat newly crowned FIA Pro Modified champion Micke Gullqvist at the quarter final stage. A 6.191/231.65 wasn’t enough to take down Bader’s 6.056/230.19 in the final, but fourth in the points represents something of a turnaround after his trials since debuting the EMS Camaro in 2010.

The Swedes may have taken one (Gullqvist) and two (Mattias Wulcan) in the points, but the top five were rounded out by a trio of Dutch masters with the MPM Oils Firebird of Marc Meihuizen being best of the bunch across the year. Meihuizen also had the quickest car over the course of the Euro Finals weekend qualifying low with a 5.963/241.15 and producing another pair of fives (including a 5.940/242.39 to set both ends of the MSA record at the quarterfinal stage) before damage to the clutch and engine plate ended the J.W.R. team’s season at the semifinal stage.
