Donnie Huffman

Among the sportsman winners was Donnie Huffman of Lakeland, Fla., who prevailed not only in the 8.90 Super Comp class but also in the class simply called Eliminator. He was the weekend’s only double-up winner and just missed a triple when he lost in the final round of Top Eliminator to Dennis Waldron of Owings, Md., on a holeshot.

The AMRA’s hot rod Harleys return to The Rock this fall for the annual Jim McClure Carolina Nitro Nationals, Oct. 10-12.
