The NAS Racing team car from Dubai driven by Badir Ahli. They sponsor the Pro Extreme class, and will be a force to be reckoned with, having both Al Billes and Bob Newberry in their camp. They lost the second round at this event, but ran consistent low 3.70s.

Jason Harris dominated Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous. He qualified number one with a 3.779 at 200.68 and ran low elapsed time of every round of eliminations with every pass in the 199-200 mph range to face number-two qualifier Bob Rahaim in the final. Twenty-two cars attempted to qualify, and the bump spot ended up at 3.953.

The hot track got the best of Rahaim, who slowed to a 5-second time, while Harris streaked away to a good 3.91 at 196 on the tricky track. That is two in a row for Harris.

Twenty-three cars attempted to qualify for Precision Turbo Pro Boost, the class for NHRA-legal Pro Mods (heavier than Pro Extreme). This class has a great mix of turbo and Roots blown cars. Todd Tutterow led qualifying with a 3.892, which held up for low elapsed time, and the bump spot was 4.126.

In round two, Joe Baker put Tutterow on the trailer with a nice 3.93 and marched on to the final. On the other side of the ladder, number-two qualifier Kevin Fiscus took his turbo Mustang past the turbo cars of Jim Bell and Troy Coughlin in rounds one and two. In the semi-finals, Fiscus defeated Higginbottham’s classic 57 Chevy with a 3.952 to Higg’s close 3.964.

In the final, Baker’s classic Stude stumbled to a 4.354 after running consistent mid-3.90s and Fiscus took the win with a 4.16.

Aruba Extreme Pro Stock was an eight-car field. John Montecalvo qualified number one with a 4.092 that held up for low elapsed time, but was upset by Richard Penland in the first round.
