That set up the final round between Pat Neal and Kevin Knowles. With Neal holding low ET and Knowles with the big speed it was shaping up to be a good match. Neal’s starter died and while Knowles was doing his burnout, his crew backed up to Neal and started his car. Talk about sportsmanship between teams!

Neal did a short burnout and they staged. When the tree came down Neal was a little wound up and went red. Knowles didn’t see the red light and proceeded to use up his lane pedaling the car several times after smoking the tires to the win.
