Conclusion

The ticket buying drag racing fan is pretty fickle these days. They seem to want heads-up, first to the finish line racing. They want their door cars to do big burnouts, pull the wheels, and race to the finish line whether it on an eighth or quarter mile. As Pro Mods and Pro Stock have proven, they want fast cars that are exciting and they have little interest in cars that aren’t at least perceived as dangerous.

The Nostalgia AA Gasser group seems to fill that bill where the fans want some nostalgia. The cars and powerplants are period (1933-1955) correct. They have iron motors, bone stock 6-71 superchargers, and short wheelbases. They do big burnouts, dry hops and run wheels-up, 4-second/140+ eighth-mile passes.

Don’t miss a chance to see these cars.
