Outlaw Drag Radial

Scotty Husted came from the 17th qualifying spot in the Outlaw Drag Radial class, qualifying with a 4.485/178.90 in his Mustang, to defeat 7th qualifier Kentuckian Marty Stinnett’s 302-powered ‘96 Mustang who could only muster a 5.081/181.52. Husted defeated favorite and number-one qualifier, Will Stevenson, in round 1.

Nitrous X

Ohio racer Darren Hilterbran (shown) absolutely dominated the Nitrous X class at the 2015 Lights Out at SGDP. His small block Ford-powered Mustang not only set low ET and Top Speed for the class but the swept through the field defeating #4 Qualifer Tim Knieriem in the final.

Hilterbran ran a respectable but off the pace 4.716/149+ to easily get by Knierem who had the holeshot start  by .003 but obviously had issues when he could only muster a 13.024/39.74 effort in the final.
