Pro Mod Pit Notes from Norwalk
In the first round of Pro Mod Eliminations on Saturday night, half of the eight rounds were won on a holeshot. Also half of the winners came from the bottom half of the qualified field.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of the sixteen qualified cars in Pro Mod 11 were Chevy, 4 FoMoCo, and a lone Pontiac. In Pro Stock were there were only 17 cars total and there were just two brands represented Chevy and Mopar; Ford did not have a single Pro Stock entry.

Winner Mike Janis gave a lot of credit for his car's recent improved performance to changing his rear tires to Goodyear.

If there were ever an indicator of just how good the current NHRA Pro Mod rules are it is that of the quick 16 cars qualified 7 were supercharged, 5 nitrous oxide injected and 4 used turbochargers. Now that is parity!
