Mäkelä and Neergaard's semifinal opponents were Jari Halinen and Mikael Kågered respectively. Halinen is returning to the full tour this year after an unexpectedly brief sojourn last season and with Jimmy Walsh providing some pointers to the whole of the RF Motorsport squad progressed to the final four with a 4.1190/298.78 win over rookie Liam Jones. Kågered, carrying the number one plate after being awarded the 2014 FIA title in controversial circumstances after Thomas Nataas was disqualified from the European Finals and the FIA decided to redistribute the points accrued. The Swedish pulled out a new PB ET in the opening round of eliminations with a 4.0240/280.40 to get past Duncan Micallef, but slowing to a 4.4007 thanks to a chucked blower belt that was a symptom of deeper ailments that resulted in a clean-up handed the final round berth to Neergaard.

The quartet of first round losers featured Norwegian Birgette Bremnes and Brit Liam Jones in their first competitive field having completed their licensing in the qualifying rounds, with the comparatively more experienced Tethys (renting a drive from Urs Erbacher for the weekend) and Duncan Micallef rounding out the foursome, Micallef having a scary moment when the Manta electronics rail hooked sharp right towards the wall with flame coming out of the right hand side of the motor. Of the four, Jones and Micallef will contest the full tour as part of the RFMotorsports team, but the future plans of Bremnes and Tethys are funding dependent.
