The past two events on the European tour have seen a combined gate in excess of 100,000 paying spectators, and the enthusiasm for all forms of the straightline sport is evidenced by the full stands for Stock/Super Stock eliminations. There might be some worrying undercurrents to the sport at championship level on this side of the pond (the absence of the FIM-E bike classes in the Nordic countries being one symptom), but when the weather is right the product is as good as anything around.
