The FIA European drag racing championship came to a tumultuous conclusion at Santa Pod over the course of the first weekend in September with eliminations conducted on the Sunday under clear sunny skies in front of a capacity crowd. As an event it took a little while to spark into life, but finals day at the Finals proved to be one of the smoothest running in the straight-line sport in Europe culminating in the majority of titles being decided during the course of the day.
