As the NMCA WEST VP Racing Fuels Street Car Nationals season continues, the 4th Annual Energy Suspension NMCA WEST Street Car Nationals welcomed racers to Auto Club Dragway in Fontana, Calif., on September 18-20. In spite of the exceptionally hot Southern California weekend, the track was fast and the racing was competitive. Like all NMCA WEST events, the Hotchkis Performance Autocross presented by Nitto Tire was part of all the motorsport action.
In Garrett Turbo Pro Mod, Rick Snavely set the qualifying pace with a 5.24-second 1,000-ft ET and would carry that momentum into the final. There he faced Greg Seth-Hunter — who had clocked the weekend’s highest speed at 228.54 mph — and used a perfect reaction time along with a 6.27 at 217mph run to defeat Seth-Hunter’s slightly slower 6.40 at 227.
