The annual AutoMeter Pro Gas Shootout contested during Sunday morning qualifying saw Randy Balough defeat his son Travis Balough to open the semifinals, and Val Torres Jr. stopped the Pinto of Randy Fabbro.

Balough (near lane) and ’14 Pro Gas champion Torres met in the final, with Balough using a .007 better light and 9.907, 158.80 to claim the shootout title as Torres lost with a 9.928, 149.17. AutoMeter, Craig Dales, and Cordeiro Racing sponsored the shootout.

The final point standings has Mike Blodgett Jr. winning the title with 325 points, Ryan Herem second with 315, and Brenden Herem third with 314. Rounding out the top ten were: Travis Balough, 260; Val Torres Jr, 259; Hollis Colleasure, 249; Don Ruble, 238; Brad Pierce, 237; Randy Balough, 237; and Mike Wiblishouser, 215.
