In the semifinal, Mike Janis (near lane) was out first with a .030 to .069 Reaction Time, but Glidden’s turbocharged ride ran him down with a 5.895 at 251.81 mph to 5.938/245.36 for Janis.

Glidden qualified 10th and won the Saturday first round against Eric Latino. He then got past Von Smith and Mike Janis on Sunday en route to his first win of the season, second of his career. Glidden is sixth in the points standings.

Rahaim, who was the No. 1 qualifier in Bristol, Tenn., raced his Corvette to a 5.828-second pass at 247.16 mph in the second session on Friday for his third No. 1 qualifier of the season. He went on to defeat Jim Bell in his ’69 Camaro in the first round of eliminations on Saturday.
