Deja vu?

Where have we seen such a cluster TV coverage of an NHRA national event that didn’t air when scheduled only to have the finals be scheduled for Midnight on Monday? As if that wasn’t insulting enough, FOX decided soccer was more important than the NHRA finals scheduled for Midnight on FS1 so they rammed up NHRA fans butts and scheduled the finals for 1 a.m. Eastern time. Then in their ultimate insanity FOX decided NOT to show the finals but instead to rerun the ENTIRE Norwalk coverage thus eliminating ANY possible chance of those who scheduled a recording for Midnight of ever seeing the finals.

NHRA didn’t learn their lesson from the outrageous abuse that ESPN imposed on NHRA TV fans. Fox has already used up their “get out of jail” cards with this total CLUSTER from the Summit Nationals.

NHRA fans are not going to tolerate this abuse.

Another- programming nightmare

It seemed our nightmare was over when NHRA left ESPN and joined forces with FS1 and at first things were just great, then suddenly we were pre empted, and woodcarving and Hole Digging Championships were broadcast in the place of Qualifying. Then the race itself was delayed and delayed, I guess they believe drag racers don't have jobs, we just lurk around our TVs all day and night waiting for the Soccer, NASCAR and Baseball sports to end so we can see OUR SPORT.

OK, I get it, NASCAR, Soccer, Baseball and Woodcarving all have more fans, but the few diehard fans left are getting really tired of feeling like second rate sports fans. 3:30 a.m. is not a time I would think most sponsors would get the most bang for the buck from.

Drag Racing is my sport of choice, I'm a diehard drag racer and it peeves me off to see us getting the short end of the stick over and over without so much as a word of explanation or someone from the TV channel explaining why the Wood Carving and One Legged Man Race Reviews should be on instead of racing. After all night watching the other sports then we are forced to watch the REVIEWS and wait even longer.

No wonder they can’t fill out a full field, SPONSORS aren't getting the TV exposure at 3 am....UGG.

A FAN’S POINT OF VIEW.
