This event reminded this reporter of an old Wednesday night race at Carlsbad put on by Steve Quercio with John Force, Gary Densham, Jim Dunn and a bunch more FCs and the Carlsbad police had to cut off the spectator traffic as there was no more room, period.

A total of ten AA/FCs (four Big Show and six Nostalgia cars) plus four fire breathing AA/FA’s were on hand.

There was a handful of 7.0 cars including Elly Stafford in the Crower-backed dragster, and many-time winner Bobby Cottrell headed that group. (Tim Marshall photo)
