The Fuel Altereds and Nostalgia Funny Cars chose to race to the eighth mile while the Big Show cars only traveled half that distance.

John Weaver

Next up was the Nostalgia Funny Car field of six top notch west coast rides. Dennis Swearingen got a free ride after both he and John Weaver did dry hops, when the “Dream Weaver” broke a trans. Swearingen ran 5.813, 102.30 mph for his win.

It was a holeshot victory for the “Pedaler” of Gary Turner driven by James Day, as Day ran a 5.309, 95.70 mph over a very close Alex M in the “Hot 4 Teacher” at 5.196, 95 mph.
