The four Big Show cars were next up and it was getting colder by the second.

Paul Lee in the McLeod Clutches/Worsham machine left first against veteran Gary Densham and both cars struck the tires going sideways in a severe pedalfest. The Big Show cars only ran 330 feet as they are way too quick for this track presently. Cory Lee set up both clutches in the AA/FA’s and Lee turned in a fine 2.776 at only 108.27 mph and the win, with Gary Densham setting top Speed at 147.98 mph hooked up to a 2.381.

It was the 2015 NHRA Champ against the “rookie” Brandon Welch in the next go, with Welch leaving on the Champ but as they crossed the 330 point it was all Del Worsham at 2.547, 131.73 mph to the kid’s 3.136, 82.67 mph.
