With a significant number of the nostalgia altered and funny car teams biding their time as they remodel and renew their rides ahead of Dragstalgia in the middle of July, it was down to Nick Davies and Bob Glassup to provide some nitro entertainment with the Havoc Bantam debuting a popping and banging Donovan that previously nestled between the framerails of the now retired Chaos altered, and Glassup’s Bubblegum Capri gaining track time in what are very much the shakedown phases for both combinations.

Davies was the only one to show for the Nostalgia Fuel Car Cup but brought the house down with a straight and strong and very early shutoff 6.5998 at only 174.37mph.
