Volkart, Vanhook and Wally Krueger also took win lights in round 2. Tom Hoffman let everyone know that his previous round was no fluke with another great .03 light. Jim Kroeger stepped up with a .017 reaction for his win. Ken Kauffman led the way in round 2 with a stellar .012 light to take the win over close friend BJ Bax and his popular GTO.

After a short cool down, the Super Stocks returned to action. Mike Volkart and his yellow Chevelle continued on over a too quick Vanhook. Tom Hoffman used another .03 light to take out the constantly improving Kauffman in Jim Shelton’s 1965 Dodge. Spurgeon defeated series veteran Wally Krueger, running a 6.52 on his 6.50 Index. Jim Kroeger used his bye run to prepare for the next round, running a 7.02 on his 7.00 Index.
