Thomas Eddie Rogers of Berryville, Ark., took home $7,500 after winning the Precision Turbo Pro Nitrous vs. Pro Boost final over Canadian Jim Bell. Rogers defeated Brazil's Sidnei Frigo in the first round of eliminations, then won the second round after opponent Terry Barkley crashed. Rogers ran a single in the semi-final to meet Bell in the final.
Sidnei Frigo of Sao Paulo, Brazil, chose this event to return to racing after suffering a broken arm and other injuries in a horrific crash in April in Texas. Frigo's brand-new car qualified in fifth place in the Precision Turbo Pro Nitrous vs. Pro Boost class at 3.910 sec., 194.86 mph. Unfortunately, Frigo turned on the red light in the first round.
