The hotly contested A/FX group boiled down to the father AND son team from Prescott Valley, AZ. Bill Campbell used his Hemi ’65 Dodge to stop his tire spinning son’s ’68 Pro Stock style Dart in the final. Long time Ford drag racer Dale Schroeder was top qualifier using his 427 ’64 Fairlane.

On Sunday, the Pontiac Heaven portion of the program thinned out due to frigid temps and a lot of ‘breakage’ during Saturday’s hot action. The Trophy run for real Pontiacs boiled down to Jeff Chandler, from Lakeside, CA, taking the win over Steve LeMans of nearby Tempe.
