THE YEARS OF THE SNAKE

Very few racers span virtually the entire history of major league drag racing. Fewer still are participating and excelling to this date. Don Prudhomme is one such man, and had indeed done it all in a career that spans six decades. As such, we reward him with a quiz!
He won't be answering the questions -- that's your job, dear readers! Get busy!!

1.) The Snake comes from the very heart of hot rodding's beginnings. What was the
name of the car club he belonged to back in 1950s Burbank, California?

2.) The Greer, Black and Prudhomme Top Fuel dragster was one for the ages.
Name the fourth man involved in the team effort.
3.) Where and when did Prudhomme score his first major victory?
4.) In 1975, NHRA hosted eight national events. How many did the Snake win, and
which events did he not win?
5.) When and where did Prudhomme score his first NHRA national event win?
For extra credit, name any of the four teams he beat.
6.) When and where did the Snake's first start in NHRA national event Funny Car
action take place? Extra points for how far he went, and who he beat.

7.) Before working in his father's auto body shop, Prudhomme had the usual assortment of unusual teenage job experiences. From where did he get his first paycheck of any kind?
8.) Early in the 1973 season, Prudhomme switched from Top Fuel to Funny Car
Eliminator. What was his 1973 exit race from Top Fuel, and how did he do?
