Dave,

What is the best material for 'O' Rings in the fuel lines of an 85% Nitro Fuel Altered ?

Is It:

Neoprene
Ethylene Propylene (EPDM)
Nitrile
Vamac
Silicone
Advanta
Fluoro-silicone
Viton (which grade) ?
Kalrez

Lawrie,

For alky and/or nitro, use the EPDM. Thanks for the question.

Try to keep the nitro altered between the lines. (Atlantic and Channel) :-)

Dave,

I built a .040 over SB 400 motor with Edlebrock performer heads, 6 in rods, deck high flat top KB pistons, Crower roller 228 duration cam, and a Accel injection with 35 # injectors and a home-made manifold from a Pro Ram  with a pair of eliptical butterflys in the  throttle body.

I still have the stock Corvette in the tank fuel pump. This is a street car not meant for racing, just faster ferrying in an '84 Corvette body with a Turbo 400 trans and stk gearing. I am not a computer expert but after playing with the curves I can go down the road with decent milage and not over heating and fairly good low end response, but the car does not run any better at full throttle than it does at part throttle. I know nothing about ignition curves so do not know what or where to start with the map. I am also wondering if the pump is too small for the combination. Any help?

David Benjamin

David,

I won't hazard a guess as to where everything needs to be. I think the best bet would be to find someone local that has a chassis dyno.

You should be able to gather enough info based on the A/F ratio at various points to make some decisions on the timing and fuel pump.
