Champions and more (or less?)

With the smoke and thunder cleared from the 2016 season for Nitro Harley, two names stand out above the rest: Jay “Bull Dog” Turner and Janette Thornley. Jay’s a standout as the returning IHRA Nitro Harley champion, who again in 2016 repeated his throne, and the same can be said for Janette, who has repeated her NHRA Pro Fuel championship 2015-2016. Except in Jay’s case, he’s the IHRA AND the NHRA T/F Harley champion.
