Hey,
I have got a question about my new torque converter. I just swapped the engine, tranny and tc (all are brand new). We already have them in the car, but have not tried to start the car yet. The problem is that the tc is bone dry (we forgot to add any fluid). Every article that I can find states to pt one quart in the tc and then fill the rest through the dipstick tube with the motor running. Will it matter that there is none in it? Do I need to drop the tranny again? Any help that you can give will be great
Thanks,
William

You probably spent some good
money on that torque converter, so the least
you can do is install it the way the manufacturer
asks you to. It would be a bad thing if you
ran the converter for a while and had a problem
with it that could be due to lack of lube on
initial fire up. Sometimes it's not so easy
to do it right, but you have to do it the best
way it can be done.
Thanks,
Mike
