This pickup mounted on the
rear of the MSD distributor was designed and built by SAR
shop Foreman Tom Kidd. What it does is tell the fuel injection
when the number one cylinder is going to be the next to fire.
Valve covers are pulled off
after about five pulls to check the valve lash. In the 12
pulls we witnessed they never adjust the valves once. The
valve train is from T & D and Sonny says it is extremely
dependable.
Troy Coughlin's crew chief
on this effort is (foreground) seen here talking to dyno-cell
and shop foreman, Tom Kidd, after running the four twos-injector
set-up.
