: Who are your hero racers?

AB: As kid they were my Uncle Andre (Brown) and my dad (Albert Brown).  Later on they are Dave Schultz, John Myers, Don Garlits and Bob Glidden. 

: How did you end up driving a Top Fuel dragster for Don Schumacher? You made that switch while being very successful and popular as a Pro Stock Motorcycle racer.

AB: As a kid growing up it was always my  big dream to race a fuel car.  When I was racing Pro Stock Bikes for the U.S. Army I learned an important Army standard of never being content to settle. I got my foot in the door with (sponsor) Matco Tools when Matco got involved with sponsoring David Powers’ Top Fuel team, and that’s is how I went from driving two-wheel racers  to one with  four wheels and the motor behind me.
