For me “Tell Laura I Love her” is on par with Jerry was a racecar driver. When I was in the 6th grade (1980), I started going to the races with a Super Stock racer. It was a 1969 Camaro. This guy played this song over and over from his 8 track on repeat. I remember laying on my back drilling for a then recently mandated driveshaft loop. While ingesting molten chips at a young age I heard this song at least 50 times that day.
