I-57 Dragstrip played host to the 6th annual JEGS Summer Door Car Shootout July 15-17, a door-car-only big buck bracket race featuring nearly 200 of the best door cars and drivers in the Midwest.

Action opened with Friday night's Auto Meter Pregame $5,000-to-win event, which saw Chamois, MO, racer Jeremy McKague prevail over the Corvette of Jeremy Jensen (Clarksville, TN) in a final round battle between multi-time SDCS winners.

Shaun Smith (Shepherdsville, KY) was the lone semi-finalist, while Ed Niemiec, Todd Nickel, and Kelsey Meece were the quarterfinalists.
