The Mooneyes Xmas Party is a fun filled one-day car culture event that draws all kinds of automotive enthusiasts of every kind. From low riders to rat rods, there are plenty of cool rides to check out.

The gates opened up at 6.00 a.m. and the freeway was backed up for over one mile when I arrived at the Irwindale (Calif.) drag strip at 5:40. I drove up to the end of the 605 Freeway, flipped a U-turn and went into the track from the other direction. Despite it being very cold for southern California and the forecast of rain, the people came out in droves to have the Mooneyes style of fun!
