Tim Lynch (above) had his car up on three wheels in a violent attempt to avoid hitting the wall in the finals at Atlanta. Eventual winner Grant McCrary, who had lane choice, traded lanes with Lynch just before they rolled into the water box after seeing D.J. Loiciano’s car get crossed up in the Renegade finals just before they ran.
Micah Monteleone (below) was the first winner in the Champion Fiberglass sponsored $5k Challenge. This entry level class pitted racers who could prove with receipts that they had no more than $5,000 total in their racer (including cost of the car).
IHRA Hot Rod racer Ricky Warren won Best Engineered honors at Fun Ford Atlanta with his immaculate Mercury Zephyr which he ran in Fast Ford.
