Longtime Jeg’s Super Quick competitor Larry Harlen parked his Indiana Trans Am and debuted this supercharged ‘48 Anglia. Although he ended up second alternate in the field, he filled the void left by Rick Corn’s wounded Avenger and made a first-round appearance, only to redlight against the ‘96 Firebird of Steve and Randy Maas.

Kurt Kesel, whose son is a past GIR Junior Dragster Season Champion, pushed his 548-inch Chevy-powered Power Chassis dragster to a 0.008 Reaction Time in the opening round of Jeg’s Super Quick action but broke out by two thousandths of a second against Mike Mong’s 0.012-second “package”.

Longtime Super Street campaigner Jeanette Rowe’s normally sedate Mustang produced the launch of her life in timed trials. The Eureka, Missouri, driver is one half of the Rowe Family NHRA National Event-winning team.
