The action started with Heath Harvey’s blown Pontiac going up against Rickey Cate. Harvey left first but didn’t quite have enough, 4.17 at 171.38, to cover a fine 4.09 at 180.07 from Cate’s blown ‘67 Chevy II aptly named “Dangerous Toy.”

Ken Thomas’s “The Bad Bird” Firebird is sporting a more colorful paint scheme this year.

Next we saw two of the best looking rides in the house as Ken Thomas kept the consistent performance and 3-second runs coming with a fine 3.91 at 183.30 to take out the LenMar Turbo Mustang of Grant McCrary.

McCrary has been trying to sort out the gorgeous Mustang and rolled the lights a bit, which threw off the run posting an 8.064 at 64.15. The car makes tons of power and when they get it figured out they will be in the mix.
