In Top Gun Full Body, the field was spread from a 7.21 by Bob Israelson in his ‘63 split window Corvette to Jamie DenBestin in his wild wheelstanding blown ‘70 Camaro.

Mark Tyacke

The biggest upset in round one was dealt by Mark Tyacke in his Tyacke Motors Baretta when he took out the number-one qualifier Israelson. Then Tyacke worked his way through the tough field where he met up with the ‘63 split window Corvette of Jake Neibauer. In that battle Tyacke used a starting line advantage to take the win over the Billings, Montana, runner-up.
