While the vintage aspect of Australian drag racing initially took a while to get going, it has now unleashed a groundswell of interest that looks like having no bounds if the recent Nostalgia meeting at Sydney Dragway is anything to go by as JON VAN DAAL explains.

Vintage or Hot Rod Heritage drag racing is called Nostalgia Racing down under and is run by the Nostalgia Drag Racing Association using ANDRA sanction and regulations. Sydney was the latest stop on the tour and featured a four car Nostalgia Fuel bracket that turned out to be a cracker. The fuel cars were supported by the Wild Bunch and another twelve NDRA competition brackets. As well there were a large number of show & shine vehicles lined up at the pack of the pits. Overall there was something for everyone no matter what your automotive religious leanings.
