SUPER STOCK

Recent Fontana titlist Ryan McClanahan made his way back to the Super Stock winner's circle in his SS/BM Cobalt with a double-breakout decision over Shawn Blair. The Alta Loma, Calif., racer kicked off eliminations in the same fashion, trailering Scott Pearson in their double-breakout opening-round match.

Dan Cyr went .032 red in round two, and Jackie Alley bulbed by .020 in the third round. The semifinals were a different story when Alan Falcone cut a .004 light and gave McClanahan a good race, putting a 9.646 (9.58) on the scoreboard in a losing effort.

In the finals against Shawn Blair, McClanahan had a tardy .021 start but pulled even with Blair and worked the stripe, forcing both men to run under. McClanahan ran an 8.509 on his 8.52 dial while Blair broke out more with a 10.596 on his 10.64 dial, giving the win to McClanahan. It was his third in the ultra-tough Super Stock division.
