After what was an awful weekend in May for the Division 6 race, Wally returned to Mission Raceway Park. This time he would be greeted
by some very happy winners after one of the best racing weekends at this facility in a while. The sun was shining, there were three
classes of Funny Car, Nitro Harleys, a strong Pro Street turnout, and some great Comp action to cap things off.

This was the 2010 NHRA Canadian National Open. The track was in good shape, air (as always with MRP) was great, and we saw
some quality passes on the blacktop, and a little carnage along the way.

The weekend started with Mark "Mr. Explosive" Sanders, the Northwest's answer to John Force, running a 5.83/244 test pass on the
Friday. We all knew right there that conditions were good and, with some good quality cars on hand, track records could be set.

A little embellishment in advertising saw the '32 Funny Cars' event with only 29 cars entered, and only 24 on the grounds come race
weekend with eight in each category. Add in about a dozen TF Harleys, about the same size field of good quality Pro Street cars, 2/3
of which were 6 second players and around 15 or so divisional regulars in Comp. Eliminator.
