TAO Final

Cowboy Woods in the final round.

The final had everything to be an entertaining race. A blown 1970 Mustang for Eric Clark versus the Pro Charger motivated ‘69 Camaro of the Seven Oaks, Texas, Cowboy Woods. Woods had trouble on the burnout and never really turned the tires. At the green Woods’s mount belched thick white smoke and labored down track dumping that white smoke the whole way so thick it took five minutes to see the top end, the result of killing the motor. As the fogging was catching people’s attention Eric Clark laid down the run of the year posting a Texas Automatic Outlaw record 4.05 at 170.07 to take the win in dominating fashion.

Race winner, Eric Clark.

Despite the first round loss, Chris Domino still holds a 50-point lead over the resurgent Eric Clark. Next up for the series is the next to last event of the season October 26 at Texas Raceway in Kennedale, Texas. The series finale will be November 10 back at Houston Motorsports Park.
