‘Texas Tremor’ is Tops at Texas Raceway

The Painless Performance Outlaw Fuel Altered Association thundered into Texas Raceway in Kennedale, Texas, for their second event of the 2012 racing season on April 27. Defending event champion Terry Brian and the “II N’ Tense” team came into the event hot off a runner-up finish three weeks prior at the season opener.

The youngest points leader in OFAA history, 22-year-old John Broussard hoped to put together two consecutive wins for team “Purple Haze” as a total of 16 teams came to battle under the lights on a Friday night in North Texas.

The OFAA series has a long history at Texas Raceway holding events at the facility located just south of Ft. Worth since the late 1990s. In those days, Bobby Marriott’s series was elated to have an eight-car show and post times in the 4.40s and 4.50s. How the times have changed, as now you’d hope a 4.0 pass would win an elimination round and three-second passes are regular. Bring your “A” game, ladies and gents, it’s time to race at Texas Raceway.
