Southern Californian Bobby Lee qualified #1 in Nostalgia Eliminator 3 driving his Fiat Topolino (powered by a Big Block Chevy 454).  Lee was defeated in Round one of eliminations on a holeshot start by John Cassee. In the NE 3 final, Arizona’s Derek Harkema defeated Rich Harrison from Lakewood, California. On a holeshot in the final round, Harkema’s ’21 Ford T ran a 9.816 at 132.02 to defeat Harrison’s quicker 9.778 at 133.68 for the Wally.

Dean Hall’s A/Gas ’62 Impala from Guerneville, California only qualified 14th but defeated #1 qualifier Brandon Frye and his ’57 Chevy from Taft, California. Frye went red on the starting line as Hall’s red ’62 Impala ran a 7.773 at 178.64 mph. In B/Gas, Brian Rogers’ ’67 Chevy Nova won over Jim Stewart’s Ford Fairlane. Rogers, of Mira Loma, California, ran an 8.778 at 154.71 mph to defeat Stewart who lit the red bulb on the starting line.

B/Gasser John Saliani does a burnout in his supercharged ’69 Camaro. He qualified in the #7 position, going out in the Semis to eventual winner Brian Rogers.
